This week, we changed the size of our rotating frame for improved stability for testing and for use by the Air force. Instead of using 1x1in bars, we used 2×2 which immensely helped the stability of the frame. we were also able to begin testing the rotation of the plate. we were able to test the rotation o f the frame and see the accuracy using the an iphone inclinometer. although this was not a calibrated device, as a reference it let us see how close we were to being within our goal of 1 degree. This week, we look to change and improve the safety and stability of the test bed, particularly in the area of the motor, to ensure that no damage is done to the motor. Over spring break the team will be attending a conference to present that progress that has been made on the motor.
