In this week, we have tested the force between electromagnetic bar, magnetic ring, and simple steel materials. We have discovered that the electromagnetic bar can attract magnetic ring without passing through the current but cannot repel it no matter whether there is current. We have learned that the electromagnetic bar can directly attract the magnetic ring because the ring had been already magnetized. For the simple steel material, we used a scissor to do the test. Once we passed the current through to the electromagnetic bar, it attracted the scissor, and when we stopped the current, the attraction force no longer exist and the scissor was dropped off. However, there was also no repulsion force between the electromagnetic bar and simple steel materials.
