The team recently received the Moto Mods MDK from Motorola and is starting to work on creating the first major prototype of the satellite system which will be ready for demonstration at Winter Design Review. Since the team finally has access to the development kit, we are now able to launch our Indiegogo campaign in order to advance in the Motorola “Transform the Smartphone” competition. In the past week the acrylic prototyping frame was laser cut at FABWorks and the mounts for the frame were 3D printed. The frame assembly occurred without any hiccups and is ready to have the prototype electronic boards mounted. The electronics should be ready with our new transmitter by early next week and a basic demonstration video will be posted soon.
