This week we are going to focus on the detail design for the four bar linkage and the flip mechanism. One of our team member Ban Lan is working on his special design where he worked last quarter. Four bar linkage design now has a better design concept and improvement on its motion. The achievement is that we now replace one of the input bar with a spring and get other bar on the bottom to serve like a output linkage. This is going to help the four bar linkage design to get the position of the traction plat right on the bottom the shoes and adjust the pivot point position from a relatively bad position to a better position. Huining updated her flip motion mechanism in order to achieve a better motion. She also 3D printed one of the part of her design to see if it works as expected. However, due to the material of the 3D printing product, it only gives a shape of the part and how it interacts with others but did not provide enough information to show if it is strong enough to hold to position of the motion in a fix state. In conclusion, we are all planning to work on the designs in a deeper level to find a better solution than the basic model we finished last quarter.
