ddelosan 2016-2017 Renew 3D Print

Hi there! My name is Aldrin Lupisan and I’m SUPER excited to be on team S.P.A.M! I’ve worked with 3D printers since my freshmen year here at UCI while I worked as a FABcamp Counselor (the FAB short for fabrication) teaching middle schoolers about how awesome it is being an engineer! The goal was to expose the students to the different branches of engineering from electrical, civil, mechanical, etc. On campus, I am also a part of Alyansa Ng Mga Kababayan as one of the Co-internal chairman. Alyansa is the umbrella organization that covers the four Filipino organizations (Kababayan, PASS, PUSO, FUSION) here at UCI. On my free time, I enjoy playing Intramural basketball and volleyball for it’s competitive nature but also to enjoy these sports with my closest friends.

Back in high school, my AP Environmetal Science teacher showed us a video on 3D printers and I was so amazed at the process, it was almost like magic. Little did I know that someday I would be doing something that involved these fantastic machines. I joined the “SPAM” team after the completion of the US Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon competition. Continuing the vision of sustainable living/systems, our goal is to bring 3D printing into a closed loop — to bring the infinite space of modeling into the finite world.
