We decided to use cardboard to model the prototype, instead of going straight to a CAD model, because we felt that we would have more freedom to try new designs at any phase of our brainstorming session. CAD models limit the amount of change we can do to our design.

The first change we made was to replace the bolt at the center of the wheels with a longer bolt. This will allow us to attach the lever from the inside.

Furthermore, we realized that the L-shaped lever cannot complete its full motion, moving forward and backward to push the wheel, at a certain point along its motion path. We are still trying to figure out why this is an issue and what minor change we can make in our design to solve this issue, possible changing the angle of the L shaped lever to a possible V shaped lever or somewhere in between.
