This week, we picked up and assembled the wheelchair from the Free Wheelchair Mission (FWM). We decided to use this wheelchair as our model for MPOWRD because of the organizations impact in serving over 91 countries around the world.

First, we noticed the spooks of the tire were very flimsy. Furthermore, the center of the wheel had no attachment point for the lever. We thought about attaching the lever in between the chair and the wheel; but, that distance is about half of an inch. Thus, our goal for the next week is to find a way to attach the lever to the wheelchair.

This week, we presented the status of our senior design project to three other senior design project groups. We discussed topics such as our background, goals, innovation, budget and scheduling.
