Technologies for harvesting macro-scale energy from the environment in the form of hydro power, wind power, solar power, etc. are matured and are widely implemented in practice. Micro-meso scale ambient energy from piezoelectricity, triboelectricity, etc, on the other hand is still actively being researched in the laboratory. It has attracted a lot of interest because harvesting this random ambient energy is not only clean and sustainable, but also it enables self-powered sensors and devices to be fabricated. The project requires the design and fabrication of an innovative system for harvesting the micro-meso scale energies.
