Hello everyone,

The solar tracking team has been continuously working on building our final prototype frame. The picture attached shows the T-bracket that will hold our solar panel. We have been also refining our design for rotating the azimuth angle so that there will be less components with better efficiency. For example, instead of acetal bearings, we discovered lazy susan bearings that would be just one component added instead of four. We have also been working on how the sensors will be powered and how it will connect to the customers’ deep cycle battery.

This coming week 5, the team will conduct more tests on efficiency to determine which set up is most efficient and continue working on building the frame of the prototype so that we will complete most of the hardware components by end of week 7.
