We’re very close to achieving running car status!

The chassis has been fully welded and so have all the suspension components. Powertrain has mounted the engine, gearbox, and fuel tank. Human Interface has installed the steering wheel, seat, and brake light; they have also started on installing the harnesses and kill switches. Most significant, however, is the fact that Human Interface has made great progress toward fully working brakes, which Marauder must have in order to be considered a running car.

On another note, Marauder submitted the required cost report to Baja SAE via the online cost report system on March 1st, just in time for the deadline! This is the first event of the 2018 Baja SAE competition, worth 100 points. We worked long and hard on it, and we’re glad to have it submitted.

We still have a lot of work to do before competition, though!
