For the past weeks, we have been working hard to get our designs ready and researching for components for our project. The biggest challenge was to be able to have the structure rotate in two different axes and also have motors mounted. In addition, the structure is planned to test a variety of articles that can range from 2″ x 2″ to almost 40″ x 40″. We are working on now compiling a list of materials that will be needed for purchasing – from aluminum to motors, which all have to be vacuum compatible.
