Project # Project Name Youtube Comments
MAE0050 ADVANCED COMBUSTION TECHNOLOGY
MAE0052 AIAA DESIGN BUILD FLY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9ggQkdKDQ4 Stuttering, lacked practice, didn’t flow well between the slides.; Structure of such small aircraft vs it’s strength to take hit (load) might be tricky.
MAE0054 AFRL-HEAT PIPE (Thermal Oreintation Test Bed)
MAE0055 AFRL-HIGH FLUX https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDe2bLipyCQ It’s not professional to cut off your team members (design/background slide). An issue like that should be resolved prior through practice.    Also have a clear defined goal. Of course the higher the heat flux the better, but as engineers we need to quantify the goals to have a way of measuring success.    Other than that, it is an awesome project with very good progress. Keep it up!
MAE0056 CARGO PLANE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOLOjSQhbC4 We hope for you to be able to compete this year. Good luck!
MAE0059 FLAPPING MAV https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1pE7ILEJTw
MAE0060 FUEL CELL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7MjVseGm44 I was confused. I feel like a simple presentation with more straightforward responses to the outline.; Budget could use some help, at least in designating what amounts will go where.
MAE0061 FUEL CELL BATTERY
MAE0062 HYPERXITE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OITKHOnRuIM
MAE0066 Thor – FSAE Electric Racecar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q21P8YqAtic Solid understanding of what is needed to complete this year’s challenge.; Battery issue: if using lipo battery, be careful  of discharge rate of your battery. Discharge rate will limit the maximum current your battery can output regardless of your circuit. And 300V with 1000A is pretty scary circuit.
MAE0068 Wrist Exoskeleton https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63xmKMucc9M Too much time on Background.
MAE0069 RESCUE ROBOTICS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWGEMuHB_Xs
MAE0070 ROBOTIC HAND (Harris) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCiTHQzwJlw I mentioned this already, but the visual processing needed for this project is fairly complex.  Depending on the type of camera and sensors you use, the data will come in various forms, and will need to be understood by the system to form a classification for the object.  It may be helpful to get more ICS majors on board.  I would love to see this work and wish you the best.
MAE0072 ROCKET PROJECT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOdDVrIPySw I thought our presentation was overall solid, but lacked a timeline, budget, and work breakdown.
MAE0073 SMART SYSTEMS
MAE0074 SOLAR POWERED AIRPLANE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVwUO65qNVk
MAE0076 Portable Solar Space Heater https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMz1YBNjwJM More research needs to be conducted. A lot of patience and organization in order to achieve your goal. You need to want to research the most unthinkable question.
MAE0077 SPACECRAFT THERMAL SYSTEMS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vm6q5bN3KtI good job overall; Well delivered presentation, project looks interesting and doable.
MAE0078 THERMAL ENERGY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wxAPKGPtBE Partner and I improved presentation skills a lot from our first practice. We could work on the walking/hand movements as well as slowing down.
MAE0080 UAV FORGE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChTxsrAQAhk Good ideas, goals could be better defined. A more solid timeline other than just what is needed to be done by the end of the quarter would be helpful.
MAE0081 M-FREEWHEEL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_tPN4eJqTE
MAE0082 E-THERMOSENSOR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWPtXX_48AQ
MAE0083 AUTONOMOUS BOAT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E17NUsewRNs Defining a better timeline for the project would help them understand what tasks need to be completed and how realistic the current timeline is.; Not much progress yet, how large is team? team break down? budget?
MAE0084 Integrated Pet Feeder for Health and Wellness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I87xk5LuCFQ Very well organized PowerPoint;
MAE0085 Mechanical Aid for Traction on Ice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5wbv4qEpmM Try to spend more time practicing the presentation prior to the day so the words come out clear. You guys know a lot but it is hard to communicate it out.    As for the project, it sounds like a really cool idea. Definitely would like to see it in action!;
MAE0086 CUBESAT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMz637jQvnY Awesome project! Maybe work on having purposeful walking and hand movements when presenting. Communication was so pretty clear.
MAE0087 ECO ENGINEERING https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehII5OF7dVA This is a far reaching project likely to continue beyond the year, it seems like this is a case of taking on too much rather than focusing on a smaller actionable task.; Broad goals but needs a better definition of the scope of the project and what needs to be completed. Would benefit from doing more research into what is feasible with the time limitations of the school year and talking to experts who already work on the similar projects.; Just very rushed, nervous. Made it a bit hard to follow.; State regulation will become an issue down the road.
MAE0088 SENSOR SOLUTION https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3ZCACucr70
MAE0089 AQUA LOCOMOTION https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyOlFbkGgrE Small group. I think they need more help.; With the size of the fins, feasibility analysis might need to be done on the relative scaling of the flipper.; Clearly presented, but the black text against the dark blue/black background section of the presentation was a bit distracting.
MAE0090 ORTHOGONAL
MAE0091 THERMALGNDPLANE
MAE0092 Rapier – FSAE Racecar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DZOh-Mj6lg Focus on having purposeful walking movements and reducing uhms, but you have very good communication flow.    Try to have clearer/more specific goals to have a strong way to measure success.    Sick project!
MAE0093 Bandit – SAE Mini-Baja Racecar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RcHpdb04gNA Good job; Did very well, looked like they were going to improve static through improving dynamic.; Awesome!; Good Job, Very clear on what has been done and what needs to be done.; Well presented, clear speaking.; Very good flow, focus on reducing “uhms” and having purposeful walking movements.    Sick project!
MAE0094 Hand Use Detector https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7NTYxcZVnE
MAE0095 Flight Simulator Chair https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dtasFazmzY High as an airplane.; Excellent!; Nicely done
MAE0096 Concussion in Water Polo
MAE0097 Snap-on Wheelchair Handle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGGZp3lkyJo Very good presentation! Good job!
MAE0098 Soft Robot Finger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNDeB1VVK_Y Need lots of work.
MAE0099 Fanny Pack Peturber https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO1R6aqwA1Y Need more people to present to relieve stress for the only one person presenting.
MAE0100 Robot Hand (Reinkensmeyer) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hWwfXO9Oww Interesting project; Good Job
MAE0101 Solar Thermal Water Heater https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlbFwp2SSe8 Very good presentation!;
MAE0102 EDI – AVL Engine Simulation (Kruse)
