We’re back from spring break with our noses to the grindstone for the final leg before competition!
Over spring break we cleaned up the welds on the body and taught some members how to do torsional rigidity testing; we’ve also implemented a different way of securing the belly pan to the cars. Once all the tabs are in place again and fully welded, we’ll run a torsional rigidity test for data. The jig for the destructive testing on our extra trailing arm is almost complete.
Unfortunately, parts of the chassis are not rules-compliant, so we’ll have to fix that before we can move on. We hope to have a tech-ready car by the end of April.
