AFRL: Thermal Orientation Test Bed Heat Pipe Week 6 Update

Willis Zhang 2015-2016, 2015-2016 AFRL Thermal Orientation Test Bed

We have been working hard finalizing our motors and fixing up our CADs to fit the motors and gears. We also have continued our analyzing our options of buying motors, as each motor averages about $3,000 due to being vacuum compatible. In addition, we have been analyzing the different gear boxes to see if we can purchase or create our own for our budget. We also had finalized some of our mounting designs so that we can mount different sized test articles. Furthermore, we also have been researching cold plates to find a cold plate that we can fit into our test bed. We are looking to finish our preliminary design, so that we can show it to the Air Force Research Lab for further comments and help in Week 7.
